After I unexpectedly was granted gardening leave, I was sitting shell shocked wondering how this had happened to me. SS on the other hand, who had already coincidentally been on his own gardening leave for 2 weeks, was champing at the bit to organise holidays. We always have a list of "places to visit" in our own heads, and so we put it all out there, and after spending a couple of fruitless days looking at round the world tickets, short haul tickets, and going back and forth, here was the agenda:
Istanbul: 8 days
Bordeaux and Cahors: 4 days
Marrakech: 5 days
Visit from Sindy's mother for a week in London
Argentina: 3 weeks
Serengeti (Tanzania): 7 days
This was now Friday, and so we booked Turkey through Expedia to start on the next Tuesday. That left one working day to get the rest organised - needless to say it is still a work in progress!
